EXBOX.MIDICOM is a compact MADI embedder / de-embedder for serial signals. Equipped with two optical MADI I/Os it can be looped into a bidirectional MADI connection and can process a serial signal and a MIDI signal (I/O) simultaneously. All settings (e.g. embedder mode, baud rate etc.) are accessible from the front panel of the device.

EXBOX.MIDICOM enables serial communication over MADI with an easy-to-use operating concept whilst enhancing the application range of existing MADI equipment by adding control of remote devices (e.g. mic preamps, etc.) to the system setup.

Bit transparent
The embedder may be bypassed enabling the MADI signal to transit through the device unaltered.

Zero latency
The MADI signal is processed with zero latency between the input and the output.

Compliance
The serial data is embedded in MADI user bits 1 - 9 and the process is compatible with the embedder used by Studer/Soundcraft.
The MIDI data is embedded in MADI user bit 56 and the process is compatible with the embedder used by RME.

Safe operation
Two robust Hirose sockets allow connection of up to two external power supply units or battery packs for safe operating conditions with redundancy.

EXBOX.MIDICOM - a handy all-in-one solution for ‘Serial data over MADI’.
