<p><strong>Sample Rate Conversion</strong><br />
Individual HD SRC for bi-directional sample rate conversion is on board as a standard.<br />
The two audio network boards can be operated at different sample rates.<br />
Dual network modules ensure a seamless connection across clock boundaries and different audio protocols on a single module.</p>
<p><strong>Stream Redundancy</strong><br />
There are 2 x 2 independent network interfaces to connect each protocol via a second stream (Port 1 / Port 2).</p>

<p>ANDIAMO is a powerful, high-end AD/DA converter offering simultaneous conversion of 32 audio channels from analog to digital and vice-versa and sharing the extremely high sonic quality with the <a href="/support/glossary#glossary-prodigy-series" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PRODIGY Series</a>. The third generation of ANDIAMO takes the features that made the product famous worldwide and expands them to reach a new level.</p>
<p>Housed in an elegant, space-saving 1U 19” casing, it allows conversion to and from MADI via two SFP ports, while the optional network audio cards support RAVENNA/AES67, Dante or SoundGrid, bringing the total channel count of the device up to 288 inputs and outputs.</p>

<p>Selectable clock sources are word clock, MADI input, network audio or the internal clock. The current system clock is provided at the word clock output at any time.</p>
<h3>Redundancy &amp; Safe operation</h3>
<p>Two MADI ports offer seamless port redundancy and switch-over.</p>
<p>Two audio network ports are connected to independent NICs and can be configured to offer network redundancy – ST 2022-7 (RAVENNA) or Primary/Secondary (Dante).</p>
<p><a href="/support/glossary#glossary-ears" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EARS™</a> (Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching™) is also available on all digital inputs. It is a unique technology to prevent interruption of the output signal.</p>
<p><a href="/support/glossary#glossary-ears" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EARS™</a> uses either the proven <a href="/support/glossary#glossary-blds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BLDS™</a> technology or pilot tone triggering. A logic monitors the condition of the trigger signal on the selected digital input. In case of a failure it switches automatically to the backup input (MADI or audio network).</p>
<p>Thanks to two phase-redundant power supplies with separate IEC inlets and AC power switches on the rear panel the device offers the highest reliability.</p>

As the demand for Ethernet-based transmissions in professional audio environments increases, MONTONE.42 provides seamless integration of network audio with existing infrastructures.<br />

<h3><b>Powerful networking, seamless interoperability</b></h3>
<p>MONTONE.42 integrates RAVENNA networking technology. RAVENNA is a solution for real-time distribution of audio and other media content in IP-based network environments that offers outstanding features in terms of timing accuracy and scalability.<br />
It is also fully AES67-compliant (the interoperability standard from AES) for seamless compatibility with other AoIP devices. MONTONE.42 offers both an AES67 profile for straightforward network integration and RAVENNA profiles for more demanding applications requiring high performance transmission at minimum latency.</p>
<h3><b>Clocking</b></h3>
<p>MONTONE.42 can be synchronized to MADI input, word clock, video reference, network (PTP) or internal clock. The device may also serve as a network grandmaster. The achieved clock accuracy complies with AES11 throughout the whole network.</p>
<h3><b>All-Round Functionality</b></h3>
<p>MONTONE.42 offers highest flexibility as it provides three interface standards for MADI:</p>
<ul>
<li>optical SC (single-mode or multi-mode)</li>
<li>coaxial (BNC)</li>
<li>SFP</li>
</ul>
<p>The Small Form Factor Pluggable cage can be fitted with any SFP module suitable for the customer’s application. The configuration of MADI I/Os can be defined individually at order.</p>
<h3><b>Streaming</b></h3>
<p>Assemble up to 32 streams with an individual number of audio channels from the MADI inputs via the integrated routing matrix. Subscribe to another 32 streams and convert the incoming audio channels to MADI.<br />
256 channels are supported even at higher sample rates (96 kHz).</p>
<h3><b>Remote control</b></h3>
<p>An integrated webserver provides access via web browser through the network interface to configure network streams, audio routing and all device settings.<br />
Basic settings are also adjustable via a local interface on the front panel.</p>
<h3><b>Reliable</b></h3>
<p>The MADI inputs can be configured as redundant inputs with automatic fail-over switching.</p>
<h3><b>Safe operation</b></h3>
<p>Thanks to two phase-redundant power supplies with separate IEC inlets and AC power switches on the rear panel the device offers the highest reliability.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>EXBOX.RAV is an Audio-over-IP to MADI converter running on DirectOut’s well-proven RAVENNA (AES67/ST 2110-30 / -31) implementation. It supports <a title="NMOS" href="https://www.amwa.tv/nmos" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-htmlarea-external="1">NMOS</a> for stream and device discovery and connection management.</p>
<p>Four gigabit ports with an internal switch and PoE, plus three MADI ports in BNC, SC and SFP format offer bidirectional conversion and routing of 64 audio channels, with built-in SRC functions (<a href="/glossary#glossary-fastsrc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FastSRC™</a>) and automatic redundancy switching (<a href="/glossary#glossary-ears" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EARS™</a>).</p>
<p>The handy size of the popular EXBOX series (1/3 of 19’’), combined with the rock-solid housing and redundant power supplies, makes EXBOX.RAV a compact and affordable solution to migrate baseband audio to IP.</p>

A logic monitors the condition of the trigger signal on the audio network input. In case of a failure it switches automatically to the defined backup input (audio network or MADI).</p>

<p>Two independent NICs can be connected to four network ports of the built-in switch, supporting redundant audio streaming as per ST 2022-7.</p>
<h3><b>Remote control</b></h3>

<p>FPGA-based and low-latency processing offers Matrix Mixers, Summing Busses and Flex-Channels with EQ (FIR &amp; IIR filters), Dynamics, Delay and external plug-ins. Flex-channels can be configured as input/pre faders or output/post faders. Phase locked operation of all audio channels is ensured via Time-Adjust.</p>
<p>The internal DSP reference can be set to Word Clock or Video input, any network / digital input, or internally generated clock.</p>
<p>Sample Rate Converters on AES inputs and <a href="/glossary#glossary-fastsrc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FastSRC™</a> on MADI I/Os and audio network I/Os are available allowing simultaneous Media-, Format- and Sample Rate Conversion and full routing at up to 192 kHz.</p>

Waves Audio’s SoundGrid offers extremely low latency audio transport and allows Waves servers to be connected for plug-in inserts. Virtual soundcards for macOS® and Windows® can directly interface with any DAW for multitrack recording and virtual sound-checking.</p>
<h3><strong>Control Is Key, Multiple Access Locally &amp; Remotely</strong></h3>
<p><a title="globcon" href="http://www.globcon.pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">globcon</a> remote control, a browser-based GUI, and a front panel touch display ensure ultimate usability.</p>
<p>globcon software offers full control of multiple pieces of equipment in Mac/PC/Linux-based systems and features a comprehensive snapshot management with selective recall scope-sets. It also supports trigger management which includes OSC and MIDI for control e.g. from a tablet device. The measurement software Smaart from <a title="Rational Acoustics" href="https://www.rationalacoustics.com/">Rational Acoustics</a> can be accessed via API.</p>
<p>Automated surveillance and red-light control are possible through GPIOs. USB ports on the front and rear panels offer connection and control of legacy devices via globcon bridge.</p>

<h3><strong>Safe Operation, Monitoring</strong></h3>
<p>Two headphone outputs provide local monitoring of any I/O. Two phase-redundant power supplies grant seamless operation of the device. An internal switch on the network module ensures redundancy for the network domain.</p>
<p>While the Dante module supports Dante redundancy, the RAVENNA module offers stream redundancy in accordance with ST 2022-7.</p>
