  EXBOX.GPIO is a MADI Embedder / De-Embedder for GPI and GPO signals (General Purpose Input / Output). Equipped with two optical MADI I/Os it can be looped into a bidirectional MADI connection enabling a remote trigger connection via MADI. Events (e.g. red-light signal) are triggered by 4 GPIs and sent through the MADI line. Incoming remote events trigger up to 4 GPOs.

Zero latency
The MADI signal is processed with zero latency between the input and the output.

Long distance control
Making use of a fibre connection EXBOX.GPIO allows for transmission of GPIO signals over long distances.

Monitoring & Port Selection
The current state of each contact is represented by an individual LED display. Operating modes and the active Embedder / De-Embedder port can be selected by counter-sunk push buttons to avoid accidental changes.

Two options for the transmission of the signal data are currently offered. A proprietary transmission mode - for use with DirectOut devices (such as PRODUCER.COM or ANDIAMO.MC) - or via MADI user bits.

The device can be updated with a new or customized firmware via the integral USB port.

Safe operation
Two solid Hirose sockets are available to plug in up to two external power supply units or battery packs for safe operating conditions with redundancy.
