The firmware update can be initialized via the Soundgrid driver control panel in one of the Waves applications (QRec, Soundgrid Studio, eLV1).
- Connect EXBOX.SG to your PC/Mac and start your Waves application.
- After selecting EXBOX.SG as one of your I/O devices, please right click on the driver icon for the unit and select 'Assign Soundgrid MIDI driver'.
- Now open globcon go to Settings > Preferences > MIDI (EXBOX.SG), enable the Discovery button and add the MIDI driver by click the '+' icon below the field showing the assigned MIDI drivers.
- Select the driver named 'SG Device I/O' and click 'Apply'. The device appears in the 'My devices' tree on the left.
- Click on the icon to activate the plugin in globcon. Now you can enter the clock settings and routing options.
When Microsoft Remote Desktop is used, the Soundgrid MIDI drivers will be 'occupied' by the Windows remote app - no matter their activation state in the Waves application.
To solve the issue, please:
- Open the Remote Desktop Connection window (mstsc.exe).
- Press "Show Options" to access the advanced settings menu.
- Switch to the 'Local Resources' tab.
- Look for the 'Remote audio' section, then press the "Settings..." button to configure audio settings

Please check the IP address via the front panel. Update mode might receive a differing IP address by a DHCP server.
Yes. Only basic settings can be accessed via the front panel and web UI.
Yes. A native OSC license is available and required to run OSC standalone in the PRODIGY or MAVEN. Globcon is only required to initially configure the OSC system.
Port 1: 192.168.0.1
Port 2: DHCP
Yes. Please use globcon’s RAV.IO plugin which provides access to the browser interface of RAV.IO. Network access to the RAVENNA module is required unless the license 'NMOS OOB' is installed on the host device. This license enables out of band control allowing to control the RAV.IO via the management port of the host device.
Control of the module is provided through one of the module’s network ports (default is port 1).
With the license 'NMOS OOB' installed on the host device it is possible to control the RAV.IO via the management port of the host device too.
The default IP address of NIC1 of the RAV.IO is 192.168.0.1. NIC2 is set to obtain its IP address from a DHCP server by default.
- Connect the management port of the device hosting the RAV.IO module with a computer running the latest version of globcon.
- Open the plugin for this PRODIGY device, select 'Settings' > 'Slots'.
- Below the network port you can read out the IP address of the RAV.IO and even change the network settings of the RAV.IO via the gearwheel symbol.
Alternatively,
- Connect the module directly to your computer and use the Ethernet discovery in globcon or a mDNS browser or IP scanner tool to determine its current IP address.

Check the Device Manager - D.O.Tec Serial Port installed?
Use native Windows installation only - in virtual environments e.g. Parallels, Virtual Box the USB communication may fail.
Observe the instructions in the document 'Install USB Control'.
Please try the following steps:
- Use a different USB port on your computer
- Try using a USB (2.0) hub in between
- Try to use a different PC
- Try using Windows 7 (e.g. in a virtual machine)
You need Windows and Parallels with customized settings for the hardware - USB port. You may check the video tutorial at this link.
Check embedding device (EXBOX.MIDICOM, MA2CHBOX, or similar)
Check for the correct transmission method in the menu
For ANDIAMO.MC: Check for correct setting of ‚Remote Protocol‘ (A) at the front panel
Check cabling, a bidirectional MADI link (loop) is required
For debugging use a USB connection and check the setting ‚Remote over MADI Port‘
