EXBOX.MD - Dante / MADI Konverter

EXBOX.MD is a Dante / MADI converter linking Audinate’s audio networking technology Dante and MADI (AES10). Equipped with three MADI ports and four network ports it offers straight-forward conversion of 64 audio channels between MADI and Dante.

AUDIO STREAMING

Bis zu 32 Streams mit einer Gesamtzahl von 64 Audiokanälen werden unterstützt. Die aktuelle Dante Firmware mit aktiviertem AES67 Support ist bereits implementiert.

EXBOX.MD bietet ein hohes Maß an Flexibilität durch die Unterstützung dreier MADI Schnittstellen-Standards:

FastSRC™

Der FastSRC™ ist ein Abtastratenwandler mit niedriger Latenz für die Dante-I/O. Er kann aktiviert werden, um Signale zwischen MADI und Dante I/O nahtlos zu übertragen, wenn beide Quellen nicht synchronisiert sind.

EARS™

Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching™ is a system to prevent interruption of the output signal. It uses either the proven BLDS™ Technologie oder das Detektieren eines Pilot Tones. Eine Logik überwacht den Zustand des Triggersignals am Audio Netzwerk oder den MADI Eingängen. Im Fehlerfall wird automatisch auf den gewählten Backup-Eingang (Audio Netzwerk oder MADI) umgeschaltet, um ein kontinuierliches Ausgangssignal zu gewährleisten.

BUILT-IN-SWITCH

Four network ports are connected to an internal switch and give the opportunity to use Dante’s redundancy mode (Primary <> Secondary), while more EXBOX.MDs or other Dante devices can be connected in switched mode directly to increase the number of channels.

REMOTE CONTROL

EXBOX.MD can be controlled by Audinate‘s remote software ‚Dante Controller‘ and is ‚Dante Domain Manager‘ ready. Device functions, such as the channel based routing matrix, FastSRC™ oder EARS™ können über globcon oder einen Browser eingestellt werden.

BETRIEBSSICHERHEIT

Das Gerät kann sowohl über zwei externe Stromversorgungen als auch über Power over Ethernet (PoE) betrieben werden.

Each EXBOX can be mounted into a standard 19’’-rack by using the optional kit BOXMOUNT.XL. Up to three devices may fit side-by-side within 1 RU.
