RAV.MILAN.SRC.IO is a dual network audio module for the PRODIGY Series und MAVEN.A to interface with 64 channels each of RAVENNA and MILAN* streams.

One module, two audio engines
Hosting two audio network boards the module offers 2 x 64 of two different audio protocols - RAVENNA and MILAN. This allows to interface with two audio protocols in a single A Slot of MAVEN.A oder PRODIGY.MC. With the two A Slots of a PRODIGY.MP the coverage can be extended by a third or even fourth audio protocol.

Sample Rate Conversion
Individual HD SRC for bi-directional sample rate conversion is on board as a standard.
The two audio network boards can be operated at different sample rates.
Dual network modules ensure a seamless connection across clock boundaries and different audio protocols on a single module.

Stream Redundancy
There are 2 x 2 independent network interfaces to connect each protocol via a second stream (Port 1 / Port 2).

The amount of audio channels per protocol is reduced at higher sample rates - 32 channels @ 2 FS or 16 channels @ 4 FS.

RAVENNA is an open audio networking technology developed initially by ALC NetworX.
DirectOut's own RAVENNA implementation relies on more than ten years of development.

As a successful participant of the JT-NM Tested program RAV.IO is listed in the JT-NM Tested Catalog as a module aligning with the SMPTE 2110 standards.

Milan is an audio networking technology created and maintained by Pro Audio market leaders in the Avnu Alliance®. Milan™ is a standards-based deterministic network protocol for real time media.
